Doug and Jene Jefferson pride themselves on one-of-a-kind craftmanship. They spend many months each year participating in Scottish/Celtic and local themed festivals in Texas and Louisiana displaying and selling their handcrafted wares. They not only love showing off their handiwork, but also enjoy the interaction with festival patrons. Everyone loves talking to a Scotsman.
Doug is a Scotsman born in Edinbugh, Scotland, who is retired Royal Air Force. Doug has travelled all over the world with his job, but after retiring and moving to Louisiana with his wife, Jene, he has become a Scottishghillie in every sense of the word. He has become the keeper of the land by maintaining his animals, hunting and fishing, and maintaining the forest. He uses only feld and unwanted trees in crafting his walking sticks and canes, and tealight holders among our other crafts.
Jene is Texan but part Scottish by ancestry. She has always loved crafting for decades, but she now takes materials sourced from Scotland to craft products based on Scotland and its heritage.
